Philosophy of Teaching

My passion for movement and hunger to not just share knowledge, but also gain knowledge from my students fuels my teaching and creates an engaging, dynamic environment. I am demanding and focused, but I also lead with empathy. Overall, I aspire to be an instructor that students feel like they never stop learning from. Anyone who walks into a studio while I am teaching will see not only thoughtful goals, strategies, and assessment approaches, but also a professional, constructive, energetic, and safe environment. I use goals, objectives, and assessment to craft an environment that is professional with high expectations, but my strategies for implementing those goals provide a safe space for students to fail and have fun.
